Mirage has announced a long list
of new product choices. Leading the list is the introduction
of wide plank styles in both the Classic solid and Engineered
collections. The Classic features a 4 1/4" board width
and the Engineered version is 5" wide. Both are available
in Red Oak or Maple, Exclusive grade, in Natural or Auburn,
Nevada & Sierra colours, and semi-gloss finish.
The Engineered wide plank is also available with Mirage's
new Cashmere finish. This is a new formulation of Mirage's
famous Alumix finish that features a lower gloss level of
10% (semi-gloss, by contrast, is 50%) for a look that is
similar to a European-style oil and wax finish. Cashmere
has all of Alumix's outstanding durability characteristics
and its lower luster has the added benefit of reducing signs
of surface wear. It's an excellent choice for high traffic
homes and light commercial applications.
The popular Merlot, Java and Sambuca colour choices have
been added to the Classic collection, along with a new species
choice: Brazilian Cherry, also called Jatoba. The best way
to get a sense of Mirage's extraordinary selection is to

The Kentwood Collection continues
to expand with exciting and innovative new hardwood flooring
choices. Two recent arrivals are Smoked Oak, a dark and
dramatic wide plank offering, and American Cherry, a classic
hardwood with rich natural colour. These engineered floors
are both rated suitable for use over radiant heat, and their
low profile makes them a great choice for renovation projects.
